To connect a GSM phone to the PC, using MAKInterface, a phone-specific cable is needed. The cables for MAKInterface, we do offer, are default FBUS and can be converted to M2BUS with the supplied adaptor / converter. MAKInterface does not require any drivers - so the usage of almost all available commercial and freeware / shareware software is possible.
For establishing a connecting between almost every GSM phone and the PC, only a additional cable / plug for the particular GSM phone is needed. Possible applications, which are supported by MAKInterface are phone configuration, administration, phonebook editing, shortmessages, softmodem, activation, etc.
We are offering cable/plugs for following models: In the Support menu are given the Jumper-Settings of the MAKInterface and the MAKInterface Pro for GSM-phones. Pinouts for various GSM phones are also given in the Support menu. For service / development also the direct EEprom programming, supported by MAKInterface should be emphasised. Using MAKInterface and the appropriate cable and plug, you are able to read and write any serial EEprom. Supported are I2C (24Cxx) used in Nokia phones, SPI (25xxx), Microwire (93Cxx). Theoretically it is possible to flash Nokia Phones also with MAKInterface. The problem is that no flashing software for the serial port, which is beeing used by MAKInterface, has been developed yet. For that reason we have developed the "Nokia Flasher Interface". It is a standalone interface, which has to be connected to the parallel port and uses the same cables, we are offering as FBUS/MBUS cables for the MAKInterface.
The Interface is connected to the parallel port. On the other side is a 2*5=10 pole connector. This connector is pinout compatible with our Nokia cables (except the Nokia 3210) So you can use our cables with the Makinterface as FBUS and MBUS cables, and also with the Nokia flasher for flashing Nokia Phones (5xxx/6xxx/7xxx, 3110/8110). The cables that we will offer in the future, for the Nokia 3310, 8210, ... will also be compatible with the Nokia Flasher, besides FBUS and MBUS mode with the Makinterface. Only the Nokia 3210 requires besides "FBUS RX, FBUS TX, MBUS, GND" also the VPP line. Our FBUS/MBUS cable has only the 4 lines "FBUS RX, FBUS TX, MBUS, GND". The flasher interface was succesfuly tested with a Nokia 3210 with a modifyed cable, were a additional wire has to be soldered to the VPP line, according the connection description an this page. In the attachment are the pinouts for various Nokia Phones, with the connection diagrams how they should be connected to the Nokia Flasher. These cables are also FBUS comptible with MAKInterface.
For mobile phones we are also offering headsets: |
